EUROPEAN CERAMIC SITES
ceramics of Adriatic region S.C.A.

All civilizations and people, from the beginning of time are praised in terms of their ceramic works: so much that this represents an expressive-functional of value and universal prevalence. The Adriatic basin represents a history within history, which remains today through artworks of the highest quality, preserved in public (and private) collections, found in city centers and great public monuments, expressed in a wide range of articles up to the use of ceramics in advanced technologies.
The Museo Internacionale delle Ceramiche in Faenza is the center of documentation and laboratory for the aspects of ceramics, and is known as a special center for conservation of artworks and a symbol of ceramic experience. The museum houses internal archives (catalogues, bibliographies, images, and works) historically supported by research and studies, fundamental elements in the constitution of an international archive of Ceramics, designed to stimulate important areas work.
One of these is represented by the SCA project, focused in Axis 3, Measure 3.2, Action 3.2.3 and 3.2.2 and concerns cultural field, artistic patrimony and museum based on ceramics matters in the Adriatic area. All of the proposed activities, both by type and by subject area to be dealt with, are aimed at strengthening the cooperation between cultural institutions of the countries concerned through exchange, organization of activities, and realization of model projects.
